Invitation to 50th Annversary Tournament
Dear golfers!
Finally, after 50 years of waiting, it’s now time for the 50th anniversary tournament. As announced earlier, this will be a tournament held as in the old days, and as the 35-years tournament, a TWO-DAY competition.
The golf club, Windsor PG&CC, has given us a favourable price, and lodging facilities are available at the Club as well as at Motegi Race course just 9 km away.
On the first day we all start from tee number 1 and on the second day, like in professional golf, the leaders will start in the last group so that they can keep an eye on each other. The second day however, the lower half starts at hole no. 10 and the upper half, after the first day’s competition, starts from hole no. 1.
We will have separate near pin, driving and other competitions for both days.
The new homepage is ready and you can sign up over the net directly or by e-mail if you like. As you can see at the homepage there are many sponsors with very nice prices. The TOTAL value of the prices we have as of today is over 1,500,000¥en!!!!
The winner will fly to Scandinavia with Finnair in Business class. Two other will do the same with SAS, a little further back in the plane though.
As of today we have 15 major sponsors but if your company is not on the list it’s not too late to join. The homepage can be adjusted. Platinum sponsors means a price worth more than 100,000¥en, Gold above 50,000.

As for the lodging, only 31 beds are available at Windsor (of which two can stay in a tatami room). We have decided to give priority to the rooms at WPGCC to the generous sponsors. The rooms at Motegi are bigger with much softer beds than at Windsor and it’s only a 15 minutes drive to the hotel. To bring the price down you can always share a room with a friend. See details at the separate room booking enclosure.
We hope that it will be an attractive tournament and at the moment we have reserved for 60 people. Please sign up as soon as you can so that we can make some changes if needed. As for lodging first ones to reserve have a chance at remaining rooms at Windsor. If you like you are also welcome to bring a non-playing guest to support you. The cost for the guest is of course room fee and dining (10,000¥) only.
The cost for all mentioned in the agenda is 29,800 yen. The cost for room and breakfast is additional. To cover special prices and a memorial item we have to charge a special competition fee of 8000 yen. The 8000 will be collected Friday night and the rest you have to pay directly to Windsor Park when you check out on Saturday. (Rooms at Motegi, when checking out from Motegi.)
Thus the total cost for all for the two days will then be roughly 45,000yen. I think it’s good value for the money compared with offers from other golf courses.
